Vietnam-US two-way trade turnover hits $132 bln in 2024

Two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and the US reached over $132 billion in 2024, figures from the General Department of Vietnam Customs show.

Vietnam’s export revenue to the US was estimated at nearly $119 billion, up 23.3% compared to the previous year.

Import value from the US amounted to $13 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%.

Vietnam has become the eight largest trade partner of the US in ASEAN. Meanwhile, the US is Vietnam's  second biggest trade partner and largest export partner.  Major Vietnamese products exported to the US include footwear, furniture and machines.

According to experts, the trade relations between Vietnam and the US are forecast to grow stronger in 2025 with Vietnam's total export value expected at $125-130 billion.
