Vietnam welcomed nearly 14 million international tourists in the first eight months of 2025, marking a 21.7% year-on-year increase, the Government News quoted figures from the National Statistics Office under the Ministry of Finance as reporting.
In August alone, the country welcomed 1.68 million foreign arrivals, up 7.8% from July, driven by a surge of visitors during nationwide celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).
Tourism revenue from travel services in the eight months was estimated at VND61.2 trillion ($2.32 billion), up 20.3% year-on-year.
The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) noted that despite July and August typically being a low season for international travel, the steady growth in arrivals highlighted clear signs of recovery and resilience in inbound markets.
