Some 1.3 million tons of rice from Vietnam has been exported in the first two months of 2026, valued at $599.3 million, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
The export increased by 5% year-on-year in volume but declined by 11.2% in value.
Around 640,000 tons of rice were exported in February alone, worth $289.4 million.
The average export price during the two-month period was estimated at $464.1 per ton, down 15.4% compared to the same period last year.
The Philippines remained Vietnam’s largest rice market, accounting for 47.6% of the total exports. China and Ghana followed with shares of 18.3% and 8.9%, respectively.
