State President Vo Van Thuong and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet have agreed that ample room remains for the two countries to enhance their economic cooperation and infrastructure and transport links and to consider opening more international border gates.
During their meeting in Beijing on October 18 on the sidelines of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF), they both expressed delight at the development of bilateral relations across politics and diplomacy, security and defense, trade and investment, and education and training.
President Thuong suggested the two countries increase the exchange of delegations at all levels, effectively carry out signed agreements, and step up cooperation in economy and human resources training.
Prime Minister Manet agreed that increasing the exchange of delegations at all levels would help both sides identify measures to boost bilateral relations, emphasizing that discussions between leaders of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam are important in enhancing ties, connecting the three economies, and promoting cooperation with ASEAN.
The two also expressed their determination to complete the remaining 16 per cent of land border demarcation and marker planting work.
