The entire Ben Luc–Long Thanh Expressway has opened for traffic from October 1, according to the Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC)

The expressway is nearly 58 km long, running through southern Tay Ninh province, Ho Chi Minh City and southern Dong Nai city. It has four motor-vehicle lanes and two emergency stopping lanes.

To begin generating investment benefits at an early stage, VEC had gradually opened two sections that met operational requirements since January 2025. The first section runs from My Yen Interchange, which connects with the Ho Chi Minh City–Trung Luong Expressway, to Nguyen Van Tao Interchange, and the second from Phuoc An Interchange to National Highway 51. Together, the two sections cover nearly 30 km.

VEC has since focused resources on completing the remaining works, particularly the Binh Khanh and Phuoc Khanh cable-stayed bridges.

The completed route is expected to further improve connections with the Ho Chi Minh City–Trung Luong Expressway, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road No. 3 and the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway. It will also improve access to Long Thanh International Airport in Dong Nai city, seaports, industrial parks and logistics centres, helping shorten travel times, reduce transport costs and strengthen regional economic links.
