Over 50 businesses in nine different fields are taking part in the Digital Consumption Month launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications on October 1.
They will conduct many promotional activities during the month to encourage the consumption of digital products and services.
Other activities will also be held to enhance the quality of online public services provision, promote businesses’ production and trade in the digital environment, and build digital platforms to serve businesses and individuals.
People will be guided on using digital products and services and on how to protect information and ensure cyber security when conducting online transaction.
The initiative was launched in response to National Digital Transformation Day on October 10. This year’s theme is “Exploiting digital data to create value”.
According to Prime Ministerial Decision No. 505/QD-TTg dated April 22, 2022, October 10 is designated National Digital Transformation Day and will be held annually with the aim of accelerating the implementation of digital transformation under the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025 with a vision to 2030. The day is also to raise public awareness about the role, significance, and benefits of digital transformation, and to promote the participation of the entire political system and population to ensure the success of the task.
