Hanoi plans to kick off construction of Ring Road No. 4 on June 25, Secretary of the city’s Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung told a meeting with the media on June 13.

Procedures relating to the project have been basically completed and the city can complete 80 per cent of site clearance this month to begin construction, said Mr. Dung, who also serves as the Head of the Steering Committee on the construction of the project.

Ring Road No. 4 will stretch 112.8 km and pass through Hanoi and Hung Yen and Bac Ninh provinces.

Total investment is estimated at VND86 trillion ($3.62 billion).

Once open to traffic in early 2027, it is expected to improve connectivity between Hanoi and northern provinces and support socio-economic development in the entire northern region, with Hanoi being the main driver of growth.
