Construction of technical infrastructure at the first high-tech industrial park (IP) in southern Dong Nai province has kicked off, with total investment of $282 million.
Covering 410 ha in Long Thanh district, the IP is expected to attract high-tech businesses.
It is being invested in by the Amata Long Thanh Urban JSC.
Speaking at the breaking ground ceremony, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Cao Tien Dung said the IP will meet demand among businesses and corporations planning to invest in the province.
This is the first IP in Dong Nai that prioritizes high-tech projects towards green industry and sustainable development, he said.
It brings the total number of IPs in the province to 32, which have attracted investors from 43 countries and territories.
The province is working with relevant ministries and agencies to complete procedures for another eight IPs under the industrial park development plan approved by the Prime Minister.
