In Vietnam, approximately 61.2% of businesses have already applied or are in the process of applying AI in their operations at varying levels, according to TopCV's Annual Recruitment Market Report 2024-2025.
Notably, 38.7% of businesses are not yet truly ready to adopt AI for various reasons, primarily because they do not perceive a clear enough impact of AI on business efficiency.
Surveys reveal that only 13.5% of businesses see a significant impact from AI, while approximately 33.5% of businesses assess the impact to be moderate, ranging from 30-50%.
In addition to not yet seeing the clear positive impact of GenAI, there are several barriers preventing Vietnamese businesses from strongly motivated to integrate AI into their operations.
According to surveys, 46.74% of businesses cited high implementation and maintenance costs as the biggest obstacle.
Furthermore, the shortage of resources and technical experts is also a significant difficulty, reported by 43.67% of businesses. Difficulties in integrating AI with existing systems (35.26%) also represent notable challenges.
These figures reflect that, although AI is considered an inevitable trend, its practical application still depends on the scale, financial capacity, and strategies of each business. Some organizations have been pioneers and achieved success, while the majority are still in the "exploratory" phase.
