A wave of European enterprises—including distributors and retail chains—have confirmed their participation in the upcoming “Vietnam International Sourcing 2025” (VIS 2025), taking place from September 4–6, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the Vietnam Trade Office network in Europe, Nordic companies remain among the most proactive in seeking Vietnamese partners. Notably, IKEA—the global home furnishings giant—continues to reinforce its long-term sourcing strategy in Vietnam. In 2025, IKEA reaffirms its commitment to sustainable procurement in the wood and furniture sector.
Another highlight is H&M, the world’s largest fashion retailer, which has scheduled direct meetings in Ho Chi Minh City. This move is expected to unlock new opportunities for Vietnamese suppliers in textiles, furniture, and fast fashion, potentially integrating them into H&M’s global supply chain.
In the food sector, several Nordic companies—including East Asia Food AB, Achaulien Export Import AB, GFI Stockholm AB, JHB, and CT Food—along with importers from Sweden and neighboring countries, will engage directly with Vietnamese businesses at the VIS 2025.
Despite the region’s high standards for technical specifications and traceability, the Ministry of Industry and Trade notes that Europe’s diverse demand offers significant growth potential for Vietnamese firms that meet sustainability and compliance requirements.
German companies are also making strong moves. Hamburg-based SoBuy, a global e-commerce brand specializing in furniture and home goods, will explore expanding its supply network in Vietnam for bathroom, garden, kitchen, children’s, and office furniture.
In supporting industries, firms like Achilles Seibert GmbH—with over 70 years of experience—are seeking Vietnamese manufacturers for specialized nuts, bolts, and fasteners, emphasizing consistent quality and flexible delivery timelines. Wünsche Food, part of the Wünsche Group (established in 1934), is sourcing canned goods, instant noodles, and processed agricultural products, with a strong focus on EU-compliant sustainability and food safety.
From the UK, Longdan—the largest Asian food retail chain in Britain—is expanding its portfolio to include dry goods, frozen items, and processed foods. KNP Global is scouting for well-designed wooden products and handicrafts ready for retail distribution.
Eastern Europe is emerging as a strategic gateway for Vietnamese goods, offering standards that align well with the production and export capabilities of domestic firms. At VIS 2025, Vietnamese businesses will have direct access to buyers from this region, with support from over 60 Vietnamese Trade Offices worldwide in identifying and screening potential partners.
The event is expected to host around 300 purchasing delegations from 60 countries, facilitating over 3,000 pre-arranged B2B meetings focused on real sourcing needs.
