EVS and Siemens signed an agreement on April 12 to cooperate in the Electric Mobility (e-Mobility) segment, with EVS becoming a Siemens Solution Partner. It will promote Siemens’ electric vehicle (EV) charging hardware, software, and services in line with Siemens’ global portfolio offerings.
“Vietnam is a fast-growing vibrant economy,” Mr. Arjun Raju, Head of E-Mobility for Siemens in Asia Pacific, told the signing ceremony. “Nevertheless, the challenges of climate change and acute air pollution persist, especially in cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The transition from fossil fuel to zero-emissions EVs is therefore a critical step towards tackling these problems.”
“Through this partnership, Siemens will introduce its state-of-the-art e-mobility solutions supporting the roll-out of more EV charging infrastructure in Vietnam, which is essential to growing the adoption of zero-emissions EVs in the country.”
Siemens will offer Vietnamese customers a range of smart and flexible chargers, from the Versicharge AC smart wall box to the high-powered DC fast charger SiCharge D. These solutions can be used in diverse settings, including but not limited to residential areas, workplaces, commercial malls, industrial fleets, gas stations, and highway rest spots.
“This partnership will help Vietnam meet the infrastructure needs of its growing EV market,” said EVS CEO Huynh Tien Dat. “Siemens’ support will have a positive impact on the development of EVs in Vietnam in general and on EVS’s penetration into the EV charging infrastructure market in particular.”
In addition to becoming a partner of Siemens e-Mobility, EVS was also selected as a supplier of Siemens charging equipment hardware for the EV ONE public charging station network. The Siemens DC SiCharge D fast charger has been selected as the standard charging device at one of the first public charging stations of the EV ONE network, which is expected to be put into operation this year.
