Vietnam welcomed over 1.23 million international tourists in November, the highest so far this year, according to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT).
The figure represents a rise of 11 per cent against October.
It brings the total number of foreign visitors in the first eleven months to 11.2 million, exceeding the target by 40 per cent and 3.8-fold higher than in the same period last year.
It is equal to 68.9 per cent of the figure in pre-pandemic 2019.
South Korea remained the largest tourism source market for Vietnam during the period, with 3.2 million tourists, or 28.5 per cent of the total, followed by Taiwan (China) with 758,000, the US with 658,000, and Japan with 527,000.
The number of domestic tourists in the eleven-month period was estimated at 103.2 million.
Total revenue from tourism activities reached an estimated VND34 trillion ($1.4 billion), up 50.5 per cent year-on-year, figures from the General Statistics Office show.
