G-Group Technology Corporation has received an Investment Registration Certificate for G-Campus, a landmark AI-ready digital infrastructure project worth nearly $300 million that will be developed at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park. The certificate was presented during the Conference announcing the Hanoi Capital Master Plan with a 100-year Vision and the 2026 Investment Promotion Program.
The project marks a major milestone in Vietnam's digital infrastructure development, establishing one of the country's foundational AI infrastructure platforms while strengthening its sovereign digital capabilities.
Developed through collaboration between Vietnam and the Sultanate of Oman, G-Campus is envisioned as more than a high-performance data center. It is designed as a long-term digital corridor to promote technology cooperation, innovation, investment, and digital services between the two countries.
The project also reflects a broader strategic ambition to position Vietnam as a gateway for AI infrastructure, cloud computing, and next-generation digital technologies.
With total investment exceeding VND7.575 trillion (approximately $300 million), G-Campus is among the largest AI-focused digital infrastructure projects planned for Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park.
Accelerating Vietnam's AI economy
Spanning more than 38,000 sq m, G-Campus will comprise four integrated facilities supporting the entire AI and digital technology value chain. Two buildings will be dedicated to research and development, product engineering, and technology innovation across artificial intelligence (AI), big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), high-performance computing (HPC), and cybersecurity.
The remaining facilities will house a Tier III AI-ready data center purpose-built for AI training, inference, and HPC workloads. Phase One will deliver 20 MW of IT capacity, with infrastructure optimized for next-generation AI computing through advanced liquid-cooling technology. Upon completion, the campus will provide 30 MW of IT capacity, delivering cloud services, AI and HPC computing, data services, and digital infrastructure to government agencies, enterprises, and international customers.
The investment aligns with Hanoi's ambition to become a leading regional hub for digital innovation. As the city accelerates AI adoption, smart governance, and digital transformation, demand for hyperscale, AI-optimized, and sovereign digital infrastructure is expected to grow rapidly. G-Campus is designed to meet these emerging needs while reinforcing Hoa Lac's position as Vietnam's premier technology and innovation ecosystem.
Mr. Ha Trung Kien, Vice Chairman of G-Group, said: "G-Campus is designed as future-ready digital infrastructure that can evolve alongside advances in AI and computing. Beyond building capacity, our objective is to create a platform that enables innovation, accelerates research, and supports Vietnam's long-term digital competitiveness. Through collaboration with international partners, we aim to help position Vietnam as a regional hub for AI and digital infrastructure."
Strategic Vietnam-Oman partnership
Coinciding with the investment certificate, G-Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hanoi People's Committee and OTECH, the technology services and digital transformation arm of Omantel Group, to jointly invest in, develop, and operate next-generation AI-ready digital infrastructure in Vietnam.
The partnership will focus on AI data centers, hyperscale cloud infrastructure, GPU and high-performance computing, sovereign cloud platforms, cybersecurity, data services, and digital transformation solutions to meet growing demand from government agencies, enterprises, and international customers.
Under the agreement, the Hanoi People's Committee will facilitate strategic technology investments. OTECH will contribute expertise in operating national-scale AI-ready data centers, sovereign cloud platforms, technology architecture, and investment capabilities, while G-Group will be responsible for project investment and capital structuring and will lead local execution, operations, and commercialization in Vietnam.
Together, G-Campus and the strategic partnership with OTECH establish a long-term platform for AI infrastructure investment, cross-border technology collaboration, and digital innovation between Vietnam and Oman. The initiative supports Hanoi's ambition to become one of Southeast Asia's leading AI and digital economy hubs while advancing Vietnam's broader goal of building a globally connected, innovation-driven digital economy.
