Northern Hai Phong city is to develop into a modern international logistics center under its master planning in the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050.
The goal was revealed at a meeting between city authorities and the Ministry of Planning and Investment on July 10 to appraise its master planning.
Chairman of the Hai Phong City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tung said the master planning will see three breakthroughs to develop Hai Phong, including the development of seaport logistics, comprehensive digital transformation, and tourism development.
By 2050, Hai Phong will have become a major port city in the region and the world, with three key pillars: seaport logistics, green and smart industry, and international tourism.
