The Hanoi People’s Committee has approved an urban planning scheme for Quang An Peninsula in Tay Ho district, which will feature a modern and large-scale theater next to West Lake.

The planning area spans nearly 44.1 ha and is designated for a cultural and arts park, a city theater, religious and spiritual facilities, recreational zones, and commercial, hotel, and service areas.

The planning will establish spaces connecting the West Lake western urban area - West Lake - West Lake Peninsula - Red River to Co Loa Citadel.

The scheme also aims to connect underground spaces, such as parking lots, with the general infrastructure of the city; improve infrastructure and traffic networks; add parking lots; and protect the environment in West Lake and surrounding areas.
