HCM City accelerates Cu Chi Hi-Tech Agricultural Park Project

In a recent working session,   Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Phung Duc Tien and Ho Chi Minh City authorities focused discussions on  measures to accelerate the implementation of a master plan for the southern city's  Cu Chi Hi-Tech Agricultural Park.

Under a previous plan that had been approved in 2016, the projected 23- hectare hi-tech agricultural park  in Cu Chi commune could not be implemented, due to lack of an investment decision from the competent authorit. The Management Board of the Hi-Tech Agricultural Park has proposed an investment capital of VND615 billion ($23.2 million) for the 2026–2030 period.

Deputy Minister Tien said the establishment of a hi-tech agricultural park is a strategic step toward promoting sustainable agricultural development, innovation, and digital transformation.

Under the city’s 2021–2030 planning, Ho Chi Minh City aims to develop four specialized hi-tech agricultural parks, including the Cu Chi Hi-Tech Agricultural Park.
