On September 24, Ho Chi Minh City officially unveiled its International Friendship Symbol, a testament to the city's strong cooperative ties with 58 international localities and partners.

Located at Bach Dang Wharf Park in District 1, the symbol is designed to represent the city's ongoing and sustainable development.

The centerpiece of the symbol is a Mobius circle, an infinity loop symbolizing the city's interconnectedness with the world. Utilizing advanced 3D mapping and water screens, the Mobius circle not only serves as a visual representation but also offers a dynamic platform for showcasing cultural and artistic performances, inviting international friends to experience Ho Chi Minh City's beauty and hospitality.

The base of the symbol is inscribed with the names of the 58 partner localities and their corresponding countries’ flags, symbolizing the city's diverse international relationships.

Mr. Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee, emphasized that the International Friendship Symbol is a tangible expression of the city's commitment to fostering foreign relations. It sends a clear message to the world that the city is open, welcoming, and aspiring to build a future of peace and prosperity through international cooperation.

"The presence of international delegates at today's event underscores the strong bonds of friendship and mutual trust that form the foundation for our future collaborations," said Mr. Hoan.
