Ho Chi Minh City welcomed 7.37 million international visitors in the first 11 months of 2025, completing 73.79% of its annual target, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.
In November alone, the city recorded 780,000 foreign arrivals.
Domestic tourism also remained strong, with 4.2 million Vietnamese visitors in November, bringing the total number of domestic tourists during January–November to 37.28 million.
Total tourism revenue reached more than VND233.56 trillion ($8.88 billion), equivalent to 80.5% of the city's yearly target.
In December, the city plans to boost tourism promotion activities, especially in culinary and medical tourism, while organizing events and festivals to draw more visitors.
Ho Chi Minh City is also pushing digital transformation as a strategy to develop smart and sustainable tourism and enhance visitor experiences. From 2025 to 2030, the city will research and develop artificial intelligence (AI) applications for tourism, including multilingual information support, automated travel recommendations for attractions, hotels, and restaurants, and interactive experiences through virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies.
