Ho Chi Minh City is set to construct Ring Road No 4, which will traverse five localities in the Southern region.

Expected to be the largest road project in the region to date, Ring Road No 4 will span 207km and has an estimated total investment of VND130 trillion (about $5.2 billion).

The route is planned to pass through Ho Chi Minh City and four southern provinces, namely Long An, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

The project is expected to significantly contribute to the socio-economic growth of the Southern region, a key economic area in the South. It will facilitate inter-regional traffic connectivity, streamline the movement of goods, and reduce logistics costs.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City and the relevant provinces have nearly completed the pre-feasibility study report for the project.
