Ho Chi Minh City is implementing six social housing projects that will provide 3,956 housing units, according to the city’s Department of Construction.
The projects will cover 9.36 ha with a total floor space of 298,714 sq m.
A project to build houses for workers is also being conducted at an industrial cluster in Thu Duc city, supplying 1,040 units with a total floor space of 93,932 sq m.
The city plans to develop 35,000 social housing units for low-income earners and workers in the 2021-2025 period.
The Department of Construction will focus on completing legal procedures so that 37 social housing projects with a total of 35,000 housing units can soon begin construction.
