Hung Yen province in northern Vietnam has announced plans for a large-scale social housing project in Pho Hien Ward, calling for investor registration for implementation of the project.The proposed project spans approximately 31.5 ha and is part of the approved 1/2000 zoning plan for the Dong Song Dien Bien urban subdivision. With an estimated construction floor area of 500,000 sq.m, the site currently consists of agricultural land, water surfaces, irrigation canals, and internal field roads.The total investment is projected at VND7 trillion (nearly $265 million), with a five-year implementation timeline starting from the date of investment approval.This announcement follows the province’s earlier disclosure of the CT1 and CT2 low-income apartment complexes within the Pho Noi House residential and service area, located in the Pho Noi Industrial Zone.
The projected CT1 and CT2 low-income apartment complexes include four nine-story buildings, offering a total of 1,076 units.
The former province of Hung Yen, prior to its merger with Thai Binh, was assigned a target of completing 1,750 social housing units in 2025. According to the Ministry of Construction, the province has already delivered over 1,000 units through two completed projects between 2021 and 2024.
