Testing the innovation criteria and framework in the public sector will help build an innovative public sector suitable for the rapid and strong development of innovation in Vietnam in the future, a recent workshop in Hanoi heard.

Entitled “Innovation in the Public Sector”, the workshop aimed at introducing a pilot framework for evaluating innovation in the public sector in Vietnam.

According to the National Innovation Center (NIC), Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem has started to form and has achieved positive results, particularly in the private sector. However, in order to build a sustainable and synchronous innovation ecosystem, international experience shows that the involvement of the public sector is a key factor in creating an effective innovation ecosystem.

The pilot framework of innovation criteria in the public sector was developed to provide an important overview of concept formation and measurement of innovation and innovation capacity.
