Hong Van to soon become key container port in Hanoi

Hong Van to soon become key container port in Hanoi

The Ministry of Transport has directed the Department of Inland Waterways to help Hong Van inland waterway port submit a plan on becoming a key container port in Hanoi. On an area of more than 40 ha, the change to the port will create favorable conditions for vessels from nearby Hai Phong city and Quang Ninh province to berth, promoting economic development in the capital and the country as a whole.

Key traffic projects to be completed in 2022

The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has been assigned a public investment plan for 2022 by the Prime Minister, with a total budget of more than VND50 trillion ($2.2 billion). This is the largest single capital plan ever, and accounts for 9.7 per cent of the country’s overall 2022 capital plan. MoT also announced there will be 26 key traffic projects completed this year, including some component projects of the North-South Expressway and many projects in the Mekong Delta.

PM approves super project in Quang Ninh

A project featuring a high-end resort - entertainment complex, a golf course, and the Monbay Van Don residential area, with investment of nearly VND25 trillion ($1.1 billion), has been approved by the Prime Minister. On an area of nearly 300 ha, of which the land area is nearly 280 ha and the sea area more than 20 ha, the project will be able to welcome 3,000 guests a day and house 9,800 people.

Link between Lien Chieu Port and Nam Hai Van bypass to be built

Central Da Nang city has approved construction of a coastal road linking Lien Chieu Port and the Nam Hai Van bypass, with total investment of more than VND1.2 trillion ($52.5 million). This is a key project in creating an independent transport link, connecting the internal road in Lien Chieu Port with the Nam Hai Van bypass, and one of the key projects using the city’s public investment capital in the 2021-2025 period.
