The Austwood Quang Tri JSC has proposed that the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee build a wood pellet plant in Vinh Linh district, according to the Committee.

Total investment capital is estimated at VND465 billion ($18.97 million), of which the investor will contribute 20 per cent and the remainder will come from other sources.

The project will cover 10.12 ha in the central province.

Construction will be conducted from the third quarter of 2024 to the third quarter of 2025, with the plant to be put into operation from the fourth quarter of 2025.

In late 2023, the Hai Lang Green Energy JSC also proposed that provincial authorities invest in building a wood pellet plant in Hai Lang district with a capacity of 90,000 tons a year.

Total investment capital was estimated at VND186 billion ($7.59 million).
