The 42 Kim Lien Joint Stock Company has won a bid to rent land to build a rest stop along the Ha Long - Van Don Expressway in northern Quang Ninh province’s Ha Long city.

The land area covers over 65,670 sq m, including 5,566 sq m for a car park, with the total winning bid price being nearly VND2.16 billion (more than $87,000) a year.

The rental term will be 50 years and the winning bid price will remain unchanged in the first ten years.   

Construction will take 12 months from the time the land is handed over to the investor.

The Ha Long City People’s Committee has been assigned to manage and supervise the investor in implementing the project on schedule.

The 60-km Ha Long-Van Don Expressway will help shorten the travel time from Hanoi to Ha Long and the Van Don Economic Zone, thus attracting more investment and boosting the socio-economic development of Quang Ninh province and the northern key economic region.
