Localities nationwide have actively created plans to fulfill targets set by the government’s master plan on building at least one million social houses for low-income earners and workers at industrial parks in the 2021-2030 period.
South-central Ninh Thuan province plans to build 1,998 social houses in the 2021-2025 period with a total floor area of nearly 90,000 sq m.
South-central Binh Dinh province targets building 20,346 social houses by 2030, of which 9,706 will be built in the 2021-2025 period and the remainder in the 2026-2030 period.
Central Quang Nam province and northern Quang Ninh province, meanwhile, plan to build 19,600 and 25,000 social houses by 2030, respectively.
Southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province is to build 12,798 social houses by 2025.
And Ho Chi Minh City plans to build 35,000 social houses by 2025.
In order to implement these plans, localities have offered a range of incentives to mobilize different sources of investment, such as exemptions on land rentals, simplified investment procedures, and the removal of obstacles facing such projects.
