North-central Nghe An province will work to develop into a center of trade, science and technology, industry, and high-tech agriculture in the north-central region under its master plan in the 2011- 2030 period with a vision to 2050.
The master plan was announced at a conference in the province on January 13.
By 2050, the province will become a modern and comprehensive developed locality in Vietnam and an important growth driver of the region.
It will focus on developing five key sectors, including industry, particularly manufacturing and processing, trade and services, tourism, high-technology agriculture, and the sea-based economy.
The province will also implement three breakthrough strategies: completing mechanisms and policies, improving the investment and business environment, and promoting decentralization to enhance the innovation and responsibility of relevant agencies at all levels.
