The Nghe An Provincial People’s Council has approved planning for an urban, tourism, and sports complex covering 686 ha at the Dong Nam Economic Zone.

The aim of the project is to exploit the province’s marine tourism potential and create a complex of luxury eco-tourism sites of international standard to meet increasing demand among both domestic and foreign visitors.

It will have four main areas, including an eco-urban and housing area, a tourism and services area, an auxiliary services urban area, and a regional tourism and sports area.

Planning was conducted as part of a master plan for the development of the Dong Nam Economic Zone to 2040, which was approved by the Prime Minister in February 2023.
