The People’s Committee of Bac Ninh Province has just approved a list of investment projects for 2024, with a vision  to 2030, including 167 projects on a combined area of approximately 11,638 hectares.

Among the newly approved projects, there is a diversity of investment fields, including 5 projects in agriculture, 36 in trade and services, 83 in residential and urban areas, 27 in social housing, 12 in infrastructure for industrial zones and clusters, and 4 in sports, culture, clean water, and environmental projects.

The approved projects are evenly distributed across the province to ensure balanced development in all localities  and to provide local and foreign investors with opportunities to research and propose implementation plans.

Among them, Bac Ninh city takes the lead with 43 projects, including the New Urban Area in the Northwest of the city, which consists of 4 zones with a total area of up to 443 hectares. Of which, zone A1, on an area of about 98.8 hectares, will be one of the key highlights of the project.

Behind Bac Ninh city were Que Vo and Thuan Thanh towns, with 28 and 21 projects, respectively. Notable number of projects have been allocated to other districts and towns across the province.

The Provincial Information Technology Park project, spanning 250 hectares, is seen as a key driver for the development and attraction of high-tech businesses, generating substantial added value.

The diverse investment fields not only offer numerous attractive opportunities but also contribute to balanced and sustainable development across the province.

Furthermore, the approval of 27 social housing projects underscores Bac Ninh Province’s commitment to social security, ensuring housing for low-income individuals and demonstrating the province's response to social housing development program nationwide.

Notably, among the approved projects, several large-scale initiatives are crucial to the province’s development. For instance, the An Viet - Que Vo 6 Industrial Park Project, covering 78.68 hectares, is expected to attract a significant number of domestic and international investors, create new job opportunities, and make a substantial contribution to the provincial budget.

In the first 7 months of 2024, Bac Ninh Province has attracted approximately $3.2 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI), accounting for 17.8 per cent of the total registered FDI nationwide and three times higher than the same period last year. As a result, Bac Ninh led the country in FDI attraction during this period.

The processing and manufacturing industry remains the most attractive sector, contributing a significant proportion of the total investment in the province. Its strong growth in attracting FDI is attributed to infrastructure development, a stable workforce, and administrative reform efforts.

With this promising project list, Bac Ninh province aims to become a dynamic and modern province, thus further attracting both domestic and foreign investors.
