Hoang Hoa urban area in central Thanh Hoa province will develop into a modern eco-urban area by 2045 with modern and comprehensive socio-economic infrastructure, under a master plan that has been approved by the Prime Minister.

The urban area is envisioned to become a center of industry, services and tourism with a focus on high-tech industries and new technologies, high-tech agriculture, tourism and sea-based economy.

Its population is estimated at 285,000 and 435,000 by 2030 and 2045, respectively.

Total land area needed for urban construction is between 2,900-3,800 ha.

The Hoang Hoa urban area will cover the whole are of Hoang Hoa district, totaling 203.8 sq km.
