Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked relevant ministries, localities, and agencies to boost new growth drivers such as digital transformation, green transition, and the circular economy while renewing traditional drivers like investment, exports, and consumption when chairing the regular government meeting in Hanoi on March 2.

The government leader also underlined the need to boost growth in association with maintaining macro-economic stability, controlling inflation, ensuring major economic balances, speeding up strategic breakthroughs and economic restructuring, and enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of the national economy.

He stressed the need for active and flexible management of monetary policies with close and harmonious coordination with fiscal policies.

In particular, the Prime Minister called for stronger efforts in administrative reform and the removal of difficulties facing production and business.

Reports presented at the meeting show that Vietnam recorded positive socio-economic development in February and the opening two months of the year. The macro-economy was stabilized, inflation was brought under control, and major balances in the economy were ensured.
