Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked relevant ministries and agencies to take measures to speed up the implementation of key transport projects while chairing a working session of the State steering committee for such projects in Hanoi on August 10.

He asked members of the committee and leaders of ministries, agencies, and localities to look into the difficulties, obstacles, and limitations and propose solutions to speed up projects, especially regarding site clearance and the supply of construction materials, to ensure project progress, quality, and safety.

The government leader requested that investors and contractors increase their sense of responsibility in hastening progress.

The Politburo has issued resolutions on socio-economic regions that stress the requirement to develop transport infrastructure, he said.

Amid ongoing difficulties and challenges, it is necessary to boost public investment to promote growth, he said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this an important historical time and the national network of expressways should be completed before the end of the 13th Party Central Committee in 2026 and connect all regions of the country.
