Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh rang the bell to open the day’s trading session at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on September 21 (local time), during his visit to the world’s largest exchange, the Government News has reported.
In remarks, he proposed that the NYSE help spread information among investors on the favorable business and investment environment in Vietnam and encourage companies to invest in the country.
He also suggested that the NYSE support links between Vietnam’s stock market and itself and other leading global stock exchanges and provide technical support and human resources training to Vietnam.
The Prime Minister expressed his pleasure at the visit and the chance to ring the bell, which was his second time.
