The PV GAS Corporation and its subsidiary the PV GAS LPG JSC signed a cooperative agreement on August 8 with Japan Cooperation Centre Petroleum (JCCP) on improving the management capacity of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinder distribution by barcode in Vietnam.

To accomplish the LPG retail strategy for the 2021-2025 period approved last year, PV GAS and PV GAS LPG are working to expand their retail network and distribution channels as well as enhance their business efficiency. During this process, they will work with JCCP and the Hagio Company to conduct research and test the tracking of LPG cylinders by barcode using Japanese technology.

Barcode technology has proven effective through long-term use in Japan. This advanced distribution management system will contribute to helping PV GAS and PV GAS LPG improve management capacity and optimize the delivery and receipt of LPG cylinders and reduce operating costs.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, PV GAS General Director Pham Van Phong thanked JCCP for its support in applying modern technology in many business and production areas, while expressing a belief that the cooperative agreement would spark progress in the field of LPG distribution.

Appreciating the goodwill and active support of PV GAS and PV GAS LPG for many years, Mr. Hitoshi Masuda, Special Advisor of JCCP, on behalf of JCCP leaders, committed to support PV GAS in areas of strength and promote other technology transfer projects in order to strongly transform Vietnam’s oil and gas industry in general and the gas industry in particular in a more modern direction.
