Central Quang Binh province posted GRDP of over VND21.24 trillion ($885 million) in the first nine months of the year, a 6.82 per cent increase year-on-year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

Its Index of Industrial Production (IIP) rose 6.8 per cent year-on-year. The mining sector increased 4.4 per cent, manufacturing and processing 5.3 per cent, and electricity production and distribution 18.7 per cent.

The total retail sales of consumer goods and services were estimated at over VND34.85 trillion ($1.45 billion), for year-on-year growth of 12.1 per cent.

Quang Binh welcomed nearly 3.67 million tourists in the nine-month period. Total revenue from accommodation services stood at VND454.3 billion ($18.9 million) and from catering services VND3.1 trillion ($129 million).
