The Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee has approved a housing development plan for 2024.

The plan targets raising the total floor space in the central province by over 1.18 million sq m, including commercial housing, social housing, and resettlement housing.

This will bring the total floor space to more than 35.88 million sq m.

The average housing area per person is expected to be 28.7 sq m.

The average in urban areas will be 27 sq m and in rural areas 32.6 sq m.

Total investment needed for housing development is estimated at over VND8.38 trillion ($344 million).

The Committee said it will consider approving 196 investments in building commercial housing and urban areas in 2024 and five on constructing social housing.
