Northern Quang Ninh province earned total revenue of over VND3.5 trillion ($148 million) from tourism in January, up 15.4-fold year-on-year, and welcomed 1.6 million tourists, including 17,000 international visitors.

Its total export turnover in January rose 10.33 per cent year-on-year.

Nearly 73,500 tons of products were traded via the Mong Cai border gate in the opening month of the year, a year-on-year rise of 13.5 per cent. At the Bac Luan Bridge II border gate at Mong Cai, an average of 94 vehicles with about 1,500 tonnes of import and export goods passed through daily.
