Siemens and the FPT Corporation have signed an MoU to work together on bringing advanced technology into the manufacturing sector, boosting semiconductor chip production, and assisting organizations and enterprises in robust digital transformation.
Under the agreement signed, they will collaborate to develop infrastructure and sustainable industries in Vietnam. Specifically, FPT and Siemens will join forces in areas such as smart buildings, green data centers, and intelligent hubs, provide digital industrial solutions, and develop automotive software.
Their collaboration aligns with their capabilities and experience, opens new business opportunities, and supports their global customers in achieving strong and efficient digital transformation.
In infrastructure, Siemens aims to become a global supplier for FPT in smart infrastructure construction projects and data centers with smart infrastructure products and solutions. This collaboration will enable FPT to leverage Siemens’ advanced solutions to support global customers.
In digital transformation, both parties provide digital transformation service ecosystems and products to each other and their respective customers.
Siemens hopes that FPT will join its Xcelerator ecosystem to accelerate the digital transformation process with solutions and applications based on Siemens’ technology platform.
FPT, meanwhile, aims to become a service provider for Siemens EDA software technology company, which is a leading provider of software and hardware for the electronic design automation industry.
The two parties are driving innovation in the development of automotive software - an area that both are emphasizing.
Within the framework of the signing event, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the FPT Board of Directors, expressed a hope that with this cooperation agreement, both parties will achieve remarkable results. “In recent years, FPT has been actively promoting the semiconductor chip sector,” he said. “I believe this will be the foundation for enhancing cooperation between FPT and Siemens.”

FPT also aims to become a Global SI (System Integrator) for deploying Mendix - Siemens’ world-leading AI and low-code platform - facilitating easier application development for enterprises. Leveraging this platform, FPT and Siemens will jointly provide innovative solutions for customers across various industries. FPT also aims to supply semiconductor chips to Siemens in the future.
In the field of education, Siemens will help FPT engineers participate in advanced training courses, equipping them with the necessary skills and expertise to excel in this dynamic industrial field, and granting them Siemens-certified credentials. Siemens will also share knowledge and experience in semiconductor chip design and manufacturing to support FPT in expanding this field in the future.
