SPX Express (SPX), a regional logistics provider, has signed a strategic agreement with Frasers Property Vietnam to develop a major automated sorting centre the Industrial Centre Yen My, in Hung Yen province. Scheduled for completion in 2027, the new facility will span 170,000 sq m and become SPX’s largest automated sorting centre in Southeast Asia. The facility will enhance operational efficiency, improve service reliability, and support the anticipated growth in demand from businesses and shoppers in the region.

Frasers Property’s built-to-suit facility will feature an advanced operational design customised to meet SPX’s demanding logistics requirements for high volume and short lead times. Set to be the first of its kind in Vietnam with cross-docking across two storeys, the facility will have fully independent traffic flows on different floors, enabling multiple vehicles to simultaneously cross-dock at its 158 docks, which connect to over 700 sorting destinations. It will also feature next-generation two-storey ASMs (Automated Sorting Machines), capable of sorting and processing up to 7 million parcels daily - a new high for SPX in Vietnam - allowing the company to deliver faster and more reliably.

Construction is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2025 and be completed by the end of 2027. The facility is projected to create thousands of jobs and contribute to the economic development of Hung Yen province, while also supporting broader improvements in Vietnam’s logistics infrastructure.

This project follows a successful collaboration between SPX and Frasers Property, with the completion and delivery of a 106,000 sq m sorting facility at BDIP Premium Industrial Park (Binh Duong province) earlier this year.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ms. Quyen Tran, Director of SPX Express Vietnam, said: “At SPX Express, we remain deeply committed to supporting Vietnam’s digital growth by continuously improving the logistics infrastructure that serves our communities. This new facility is a meaningful step forward in our ongoing efforts to meet the evolving needs of consumers and small businesses. We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Frasers Property to bring this vision to life, and we look forward to contributing, steadily and responsibly, to the country’s journey toward a more connected and inclusive digital economy.”

For his part, Mr. Truong An Duong, General Manager of Industrial & Residential at Frasers Property Vietnam, added: "Frasers Property’s continued collaboration with SPX in Vietnam reflects our shared commitment to advancing the development of the country’s logistics infrastructure and supply chains. This modern and efficient built-to-suit facility leverages our extensive experience in delivering specialised industrial real estate solutions; it goes beyond supporting SPX’s growth ambitions to also set new benchmarks for Vietnam’s logistics landscape.”

The Industrial Centre Yen My, where the new facility will be located, covers over 265,000 sq m and offers flexible, premium industrial spaces with integrated infrastructure. The site is designed to accommodate businesses of varying scales, offering end-to-end solutions from planning and design to construction and operational management.
