The Swiss-Viet Economic Forum 2026 (SVEF 2026) is scheduled to take place in Hanoi from October 18 to 20, bringing together business and government leaders to explore new opportunities arising from a free trade agreement between Vietnam and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).

Co-organised by the SVEF organising committee and the Swiss Embassy in Vietnam, the forum will be held under the theme “From Bilateral Strength to Regional Impact: Advancing Vietnam-Switzerland Partnerships in a Connected Global Economy”.

The event is expected to attract 250-300 senior delegates from government agencies, financial institutions, leading businesses and academic organisations in both countries.

Participating companies include multinational industrial and service groups such as Nestlé, ABB, Endress+Hauser, IMT Solution, CONTAGI and Rödl. Other participating organisations represent pharmaceuticals, logistics, finance and public-sector management, including Roche Pharma, Roche Diagnostics, Novartis, DKSH, Switzerland Global Enterprise, Nam A Bank, Vietnam Airlines and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

The program will feature high-level policy dialogues on trade, free trade agreement commitments and bilateral economic cooperation, alongside industry sessions covering industrial transformation, smart supply chains, financial flows and capital market connectivity.

Business-to-business meetings will seek to facilitate concrete trade and investment agreements, while field visits to industrial parks, logistics centres and key infrastructure facilities in northern Vietnam will give delegates first-hand insights into the local business environment.

The forum’s agenda is built around eight strategic pillars: finance and capital markets; industrial transformation and supply chains; infrastructure and urban development; energy and sustainability; innovation, artificial intelligence and the digital economy; healthcare and life sciences; education and human resources; and legal frameworks and market entry.
