The study covering intra-city and inter-city services, as well as a dedicated route linking Long Thanh International Airport in Dong Nai city with Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.

The project covering a more than 46-kilometer section stretching from Chau Duc Bridge to Thu Bien Bridge.

Scheduled for implementation between 2026 and 2030, the project will include a comprehensive system of stations, depots, and auxiliary facilities and is expected to be carried out under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
