The city’s Department of Industry and Trade believes the growth in the Index of Industrial Production demonstrates a clear recovery in the local economy.
Politburo Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW, dated December 9, 2011, on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese businesspeople in accelerating industrialization, modernization, and international integration, has guided the development of Vietnam’s business community and entrepreneurs in the ten years since. Despite the effects of Covid-19, a monthly average of 13,300 enterprises were newly-established or returned to operations last year, according to the General Statistics Office.
On August 23, at a meeting with the Steering Committee to develop the “Industrialization and modernization policy to 2030, with a vision to 2045” project, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that industrialization and modernization must take internal resources as the strategic, long-term, and decisive factor. It is necessary to promote public-private cooperation and mobilize all resources for industrialization and modernization.
At the “Policies on the industrialization and modernization of the country by 2030 and vision to 2045” conference on July 28, Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh emphasized that the two tasks must change to suit the new circumstances. Work should be based on a foundation of science, technology, and innovation associated with requirements in green growth and sustainable and inclusive development.
