At June 27 conference in Beijing, PM Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the special importance of strategic transport infrastructure connectivity between the two countries.
Hanoi held a breaking ground ceremony on October 6 for a tunnel at the intersection of Ring Road No. 2.5 and Giai Phong Street in Hoang Mai district. With a length of 400 meters and total investment of nearly VND800 billion ($33.5 million), the tunnel is a key project for the city in the 2021-2025 period and will contribute to the completion of the capital’s transport infrastructure.
At a meeting with leaders of south-central Binh Thuan province on August 31, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested a number of key tasks and solutions for the province to undertake, in which it is necessary to focus on socio-economic infrastructure development, especially synchronous and modern transport infrastructure, to establish better links both within and between regions. He also mentioned it is necessary to study and expand Phan Thiet city and to build an airport.
The Hai Duong Provincial People’s Council approved a number of key projects in transport infrastructure, educational facilities, and office space on June 24.
