Speaking at the "Tay Ninh Province 2025 Import-Export Goods Supply Chain and E-commerce Connection" conference, held recently with the participation of major distribution giants such as Amazon, Walmart, and Aeon, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang highly praised the overwhelming participation of the business community.

She said that with the presence of 142 enterprises from 25 countries and territories, along with distribution and e-commerce "giants" like Central Retail, Aeon, Walmart, Lulu, Amazon, Coppel, and Alibaba, Tay Ninh province (in southern Vietnam) has become attractive to international investors.

According to Ms. Thang, this success is the result of continuous trade and investment promotion efforts from both the Ministry of Industry and Trade and local authorities, combined with Tay Ninh's advantageous planning, infrastructure, and new development space.

Notably, the conference also saw the direct participation of 27 Vietnamese Trade Offices and branch offices abroad – a record number, indicating the deep interest of Vietnam's trade promotion system in Tay Ninh's export potential.

The formation of Tay Ninh province on July 1st, 2025 (based on the merger of the former provinces of Long An and Tay Ninh) has created a "super province" with unique advantages. It is estimated that Tay Ninh's economic scale in 2025 will exceed VND352 trillion (over $13.3 billion), placing it among the top 10 leading localities nationwide, and solidifying its position within Vietnam's economic system.

With a strategic geographical location on the East-West economic corridor, adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City, and part of the dynamic Southeast region, Tay Ninh province also boasts a border of nearly 369 km with Cambodia, with four international border gates. This not only makes it an important "gateway" for the Mekong Delta region but also a key connection point for trade, tourism, and international cooperation.

Tay Ninh's efforts to improve its investment environment have been recognized, with its Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) consistently ranking among the top nationwide. Specifically, the province ranked third nationally in 2024 and second over the entire 20 years of PCI implementation in Vietnam (2005-2024), and was also rated as one of the top 10 most attractive localities for large enterprises in 2024.
