Authorities in Tay Ninh province in southern Vietnam have proposed that the Ministries of Construction and Finance allocate public funding to develop a multifunctional complex comprising a logistics center, an inland container depot (ICD), and a general port.

The project, with an estimated investment of more than VND3.6 trillion ($136 million), will cover 259.22 hectares in Trang Bang Town. It is designed to include a 150.7ha logistics center, a 48.94ha ICD, and a 50.58ha port complex.

Originally approved in 2020, the project was assigned to a joint venture between Logistics Tay Ninh JSC, International Investment, Trade and Services JSC, and ASG Logistics JSC. However, construction has been stalled for the past five years due to the investor’s failure to secure sufficient capital.

To accelerate implementation, provincial authorities are now seeking state funding to ensure timely completion of the project, which is expected to play a key role in boosting regional trade, transport connectivity, and economic growth.
