Northern Thai Nguyen province has accelerated the construction of key projects with the aim of completing them on schedule.

The Ring Road V project section in the Hanoi capital region that runs through Thai Nguyen is expected to be completed in 2024, six months earlier than the plan for the second quarter next year.

The 6.68-km section has total investment of over VND699.3 billion ($28.5 million).

Once completed, the project will help link Thai Nguyen with Bac Giang province, opening new development space and creating conditions for investment attraction into industrial parks and urban areas along the road.

Construction of a route connecting Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, and Vinh Phuc provinces is also slated for completion this year.

With a total length of 42.55 km, the road has a roadbed width of 8-31 meters.

Meanwhile, site clearance for the construction of Thai Nguyen Stadium in Phuc Triu commune is nearly completed. It covers an area of 15.47 ha, with 22,000 seats. Total investment is estimated at nearly VND536 billion ($21.8 million).

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai visited construction sites of these projects on February 27 to examine their progress.
