The National Innovation Center and the Vietnamese Intellectual Society in UK partner to promote innovation and technology investment connectivity

The National Innovation Center (NIC) and the Vietnamese Intellectual Society (VIS) in the UK and Northern Ireland have partnered to implement initiatives on innovation and technology investment connectivity.

The two sides signed  a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote cooperation and leverage global Vietnamese intellectual resources on the sidelines of a forum held in London on October 31 as part of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung's working program in the UK.

This MoU aims to enhance coordination in implementing initiatives on innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology investment connectivity. The two parties will strengthen connections between businesses, research institutes, and universities, jointly implementing projects in 11 national strategic technology groups, contributing to building an internationally standardized innovation ecosystem in Vietnam.

The forum, themed "Promoting Innovation and Developing Strategic Technology Sectors in Vietnam: Lessons from the UK," was attended by approximately 100 delegates, including experts, scientists, entrepreneurs, and engineers of Vietnamese origin working at leading universities, research institutes, and technology corporations in the UK and Northern Ireland.

At the forum, delegates focused on sharing experiences, models, and practical lessons from the UK in advanced technology fields. Topics discussed included renewable energy, artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, quantum technology, data science, green finance, and next-generation telecommunications.
