Three Vietnamese seaports — Ho Chi Minh City Port, Hai Phong Port, and Cai Mep Port (also in Ho Chi Minh City)— have been named among the world’s Top 50 container ports in 2024, according to the latest DynaLiners Millionaires report.

The report ranked 157 ports worldwide, each handling more than one million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).

Ho Chi Minh City Port was Vietnam’s top performer, ranking 22nd with throughput of around 9.1 million TEUs. Hai Phong Port placed 30th with about 7.1 million TEUs, while Cai Mep Port followed closely in 31st place with nearly 7 million TEUs.

Notably, Cai Mep Port was also listed among the ports worldwide with a growth rate of over 25%.

Overall, Vietnam ranked among the leading countries in global container handling, with its three major ports processing more than 23.2 million TEUs in 2024, a 16% year-on-year increase.
