The Ministry of Transport has agreed with a proposal from south-central Ninh Thuan province to allocate capital to upgrade and expand National Highway No. 27 and a road connecting Ca Na Seaport with localities in the central highlands.
Ninh Thuan recently called for investment in a number of key projects to meet increasing demand for trade exchange, transport of goods, and import and export of agricultural products, and to link industrial parks and develop services.
They include projects on infrastructure development for the Thanh Hai Industrial Park and construction of inter-regional roads, including a road connecting the North-South Expressway with National Highway No.1 and Ca Na Seaport and a road from the province to the central highlands’ Lam Dong province.
Ninh Thuan posted GRDP growth of 7.95 per cent in the first half of the year, ranking it 8th among Vietnam’s 63 cities and provinces, according to local authorities.
