The Vietnam - Denmark Green Strategic Partnership has been announced following online talks between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen on November 1, according to a report from the Government News.
It quoted Prime Minister Chinh as noting that the new partnership will contribute to further consolidating and deepening the Comprehensive Partnership between the two countries and in creating a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable world.
Prime Minister Frederiksen, for her part, said the new partnership will pave the way for green cooperation, bring prosperity to the peoples of the two countries and contribute to the international community’s common efforts to realize sustainable development goals.
The two sides agreed to coordinate closely in promptly formulating a plan to implement the partnership, strengthen cooperation in policy making, share experience, and facilitate investments in each other’s country in green fields.
The Green Strategic Partnership focuses on ten main contents, including (1) green dialogue; (2) climate, environment, and energy; (3) trade and business cooperation; (4) maritime issues; (5) urban development and sustainable and livable cities; (6) food, agriculture, and aquaculture; (7) health and life sciences; (8) national statistics in support of sustainable development goals and green transition; (9) promotion of green ambitions across sectors; and (10) multilateral cooperation.
